IM ALUMN SPRING MEETING 2025
What are former master students and students from our international educations doing
when they leave Uppsala University?
On Thursday April 3 at 16.15-18.00 (Stockholm time = CEST, Central European Summer
Time)
IM Alumn together with the student organizations at the department will organize a
seminar where you will meet former students and learn from their experiences gained from
their education and their jobs! We will offer short presentations by three former master’s
students, where one of them now has a doctoral degree.
Will Cash, Master in Human Computer Interaction
Will Cash works as Lead User Experience Researcher at the Victoria & Albert Museum (V&A)
in London, UK. Will plans and conducts UX research with users to inform the design and
development of the museum’s website (vam.ac.uk). Will has worked on projects that have
investigated how to showcase the wide variety of a museum’s collection of objects online, as
well as how to better support potential visitors in planning their visits to the museum. Most
recently, Will has worked on two new digital products that will enhance the visitor
experience at a new museum called V&A East Storehouse. Will’s seminar is titled:
Experiences from conducting user experience research within the Museum industry.
Mudassir Imran Mustafa, PhD in Information Systems, Master in Information Systems
Mudassir Imran Mustafa is a researcher and team lead for the U-CARE Platform at
the Complex Intervention Research in Health and Care Research Group, Uppsala University.
At U-CARE, Mudassir leads the development of a secure, GDPR-compliant eHealth
infrastructure that supports internet-based interventions and clinical research. His
specialization is design and development of digital platforms for healthcare research.
Mudassir’s work integrates Design Science Research (DSR), user-centred design, and co-
design methodologies. The title for his seminar is Bridging System Development and
Research: A Journey to Design ScienceResearch.
Freja Ingelstam, Master in Social Sciences – Digital Media and Society
Freja Ingelstam works as Digital Media Specialist at the US Embassy Sweden focusing on
public outreach guidance, strategic communication, and content creation. She had
previously studied a bachelor’s degree from a U.S. college in International Relations and
History. In the master thesis she explored populist communication on social media –
specifically TikTok. In April, Freja will move to the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where
she will take on a strategic role bridging policy and communications teams. Her title for the
seminar is Strategic communication in diplomacy.
