Membership in Uppsala Systemvetare (with corporate registration number 817605-6581) is voluntary and costs 150 SEK. To become a member of the association, you must be currently studying, or have completed, a bachelor's program, master's program or a course in systems science at Uppsala University. As a member, you will receive an account on the website through registration, which you can use to register for events etc.

By becoming a member of Uppsala Systemvetare, you agree that the association will take the following steps:

– Processes your personal data. (For a description of personal data, read below.)

– Send out emails to all members.

– Stores your personal data until you request it in writing via email to admin@uppsalasystemvetare.se notifies you that you no longer wish to be a member or you are being removed according to the heading "End membership" below.

– Post pictures on the website and Facebook from company events, gasquers and other events arranged by the association where members participate.

We process your personal data according to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

Your personal data is all information that can be directly or indirectly linked to you. Processing of your personal data means all actions taken with regard to the personal data, such as collection, registration, storage, processing and modification. Uppsala Systemvetare guarantees that your personal data is processed in accordance with the Data Protection Regulation and that it is not used for anything other than what it is intended for and according to what you have approved by becoming a member of the association.

Conduct

In all situations where you as a member represent Uppsala Systemvetare, you are expected to conduct yourself in a manner that reflects fundamental human values, Uppsala Systemvetare's values, and to exhibit representative behavior.

Uppsala Systemvetare reserves the right to exclude members who do not follow these guidelines or otherwise misuse the name of Uppsala Systemvetare. Uppsala Systemvetare also reserves the right to remove offensive or discriminatory content posted by members on the website. The same applies to content that is of an advertising nature.

Binding notification

When registering for an event or similar, you are bound to participate in the event if you have not cancelled your registration by the last day for cancellation, which is stated in the event. This can also be done after the last day for registration if there are exceptional reasons, but not those related to the education, i.e. an exam or something else that you should have reasonably been able to foresee before registering for the event. Attendance is taken at all events that Uppsala Systemvetare arranges. If you do not attend an event you have registered for without a valid reason and without notifying us of this before the last day for cancellation, Uppsala Systemvetare reserves the right to refuse participation in future events that the association arranges.

End membership

You will be contacted via email the same year you filled in that you are expected to graduate. There you will then have the opportunity to choose to switch to alumni membership or end your membership, or extend your membership if you do not graduate as expected. If you do not respond to this email, Uppsala Systemvetare reserves the right to end your membership after 2 months, unless otherwise notified.

If you no longer wish to be a member, it is your own responsibility to write via email to admin@uppsalasystemvetare.se and tell us this. You then have the right to have all your data deleted.
