It's now time for Uppsala Systemvetare's appointment period! Do you want to brighten up your study time in Uppsala, meet new people, get a worthwhile experience on your CV and have fun together with the rest of everyone active in the association? Then you should get involved in Uppsala Systemvetare as an active member! Below is a list of the positions that the association's committee is currently advertising.

Sports Committee
Sports manager
Quantity: 2 pcs
Description: As inAs sports manager, you, together with the other sports manager, will plan and hold various sports-related activities for the association's members approximately once a month!
The tasks will include:
• Book any facilities
• Execute activities
• Promote and plan events via social platforms in collaboration with other committees
• Continuously express students' wishes that are of a sporting nature

Business and Industry Committee
Project manager company evening
Number: 1 pc
Description: The company evening is the association's largest company event with up to a hundred students and 4-5 companies present. The companies bring a case similar to those that often appear in recruitment processes. The evening is a fantastic opportunity for our members to try and understand more of what can come up during a recruitment process and to get to know a potential employer better. The role of project manager is a great opportunity to build experience in leading, shaping and running projects. The project manager's most important job is to ensure that the project moves forward and to support other project members in their work. The important thing is to tie things together and have an overview of the work of bringing in companies for the evening and to ensure that rooms are booked and food is ordered. The project manager will work closely with the chairman and vice chairman in their work and will have the full support of the business committee. Material from previous company evenings will also be available to facilitate the work.
Period: VT21- February 2022
Previous knowledge: As the role involves greater responsibility, it is good and meritorious to have previous experience of working on projects, or have similar experience from other contexts. However, experience is not a requirement. The most important thing is a great commitment and a clear drive to create a successful company evening!
Project member Logistics Business Evening

Description: The company evening is the association's largest company event with up to a hundred students and 4-5 companies on site. The companies come with a case similar to those that often appear in recruitment processes. The evening is a fantastic opportunity for our members to try and understand more of what can appear during a recruitment process and to get to know a potential employer better. Rooms, Food and decoration! It couldn't be better. These will be some of the things that the logistics group will be responsible for in the project. This role is a great first step to take when it comes to project work. It includes, among other things, setting the menu for the evening, buying decorations and booking rooms. The role will have good support from the project manager and the business committee's board representatives.
Period: Spring 21 – February 2022
Previous knowledge: No experience is required and it is a good opportunity to gain insight and experience of what project work involves. A fun opportunity to be part of a fantastic event and incredibly fun association.
Project member Company representative Company evening
Number: 3 pcs
Description: The Company Evening is the association's largest company event with up to a hundred students and 4-5 companies present. The companies will bring a case similar to those that often appear in recruitment processes. The evening is a fantastic opportunity for our members to try and understand more of what can come up during a recruitment process and to get to know a potential employer better. The work as a company representative will primarily involve contacting companies that may be interested in participating in the Company Evening. The companies can be previous contacts, participants or companies that would simply be fun to have there. If you are interested in making contacts and trying out what it is like to work with company contacts, this is a very good opportunity. Support from the project manager and the business committee will of course be available, but the role is perfect for those who want to take their own initiative. As a company representative, you will also accompany a company during the evening and ensure that they find their room and that they feel welcome throughout the event. A fantastic opportunity for personal contact with a potential employer!

Sponsorship manager
Quantity: 1 pcs
Description: As a sponsor manager in the Business Committee for Uppsala Systemvetare, you will have primary responsibility for contacting sponsors for the association's various competitions and events in close contact with the responsible committees, such as sports events, kick-off week and company evening. Sponsorship for student associations usually takes the form of products in exchange for exposure, and can vary from restaurants and food companies to clothing, gift cards and study materials. The assignment involves close contact with business and company representatives, which means that you will sharpen your skills in the area and develop your sales skills. You will have a key role in Uppsala Systemvetare as an association and will contribute to maintaining the quality of a variety of fun events! In addition to the opportunity to sharpen your social, sales and communication skills, the role as sponsor manager also means a chance to make contacts with a variety of different types of companies! The role does not require any previous experience, but you should be fearless in talking to and contacting new people by phone and email.

A fun opportunity to be part of a working body within the association and acquire new and useful contacts in the business community.
Board member Consor
Quantity: 1 pc
Description: Consor is a student consultancy that works actively to make Uppsala University students more attractive to employers, by enabling students to gain relevant work experience during their studies. In addition to reducing the gap between students and the business community, Consor offers training courses with the aim of providing students with increased competence and knowledge, in areas such as project management, time management, sales and business acumen. Uppsala Systemvetare is tasked with appointing a student member to the board for the 2021/22 academic year. The student must be enrolled and a student at the Department of Informatics and Media. The board appoints the CEO and monitors his or her activities, ensures that the company's organization is appropriate, that the company is managed in accordance with the requirements of the Companies Act and the general meeting, and to ensure that the company has a suitable organization. The board consists of representatives from student unions, universities and departments at Uppsala University. As a student member, you will have the opportunity to gain relevant company experience, which will greatly enhance your CV. You will also have the chance to make contacts in business and other student organizations, sharpen your skills and gain insight into the importance of board work for a limited company. The board meets twice per semester and as needed.

PR Committee
Merchandise Manager
Number: 1 pc
Description: As Merchandise Manager, you handle all communication between the association and its suppliers of merchandise, such as T-shirts, cloth bags, backpacks, etc. In addition, you handle tasks related to purchases, such as collecting information necessary for orders and contacting the association's Graphic Designer. No previous experience is required for this role. The role is good for those who have not been involved before. Note that this role is not involved in the design and layout of the merchandise.

Graphic artist
Number: 2pcs
Description: To get you a little warm in your clothes, you start your time as a graphic designer with a basic training in Photoshop, the association's graphic profile and design principles. The association provides licenses in Photoshop and Illustrator for you to use during your time as a graphic designer. All graphic orders for the committee are divided between the graphic designers and those responsible for the PR Committee. However, there is always the opportunity to take your own initiative and more responsibility. Creating content for Uppsala Systemvetare is something that becomes easier if there are several of you and you can help each other with ideas, problem solving and feedback. In addition to each other, the Chairman and Vice Chairman of the committee are always there for support and guidance. Becoming a graphic designer is both an opportunity for you to get to know more system scientists, but also to develop and learn useful experience for the rest of your life.

Student housing manager

Description: This role involves planning and implementing study camps, helping students and bringing together students who can teach. You don't have to love being in the spotlight, but if the spotlight is something you like, this is a place where you can shine! There is also plenty of room for mingling if that is what appeals to you. A great way to get a foot in the door and no previous experience is required.

Study representative in the program council

Description: As a student representative in the program council, you attend meetings and represent the Systems Science program. A prerequisite for success is that you are involved and active in the Education Committee! Program council meetings are usually only 2-3 per semester (i.e. not many at all). This role requires no prior knowledge and the only thing you need to bring with you is “your head” (quote: former director of studies Anneli). Why this role? Answer: Good merit and certificates are awarded! A way for you to gain insight into the department, meet media scientists and be (seem) important!

Description: As an active member of the club administration, you will help with all upcoming events of the US event committee. As a general club worker, you will work together with the responsible people and their areas within the club administration. You will be a larger group, which means that many people will be helped. A good way to get involved and learn how to work within the event committee. Duties: Planning events, everything from booking venues, food, entertainment, to administrative tasks such as creating a budget for the event.

Description: You are responsible for ensuring that there is one pub crawl per semester. Tasks: Book the day, nations, and make a plan and plan for a pub crawl.

Description: The biggest task for this person is to be responsible for a Christmas party. You will also be a helping hand to the chairman/vice chairman at larger events, such as gasque or ball. Duties: can be to book a venue, plan food, budget, entertainment and logistics around the association's event.

Previous knowledge: No prior knowledge is required, but it can be good to be organized and have planned an event before and be a little used to taking responsibility.

Smaller events
Number: 1pc
Description: Events that are smaller and do not need to include festivities. These could be, for example: football, paintball, laser game or bowling night. Smaller events that our members can do together! Doesn't require much planning or budget, imagination sets the limits! Tasks: Plan and implement smaller events for our members! One or a few small events per semester!

IT Committee
Developer

Description: As a developer, you are part of the association's developer group that works to create, maintain and build on the association's IT system. We are continuously working on things like the website and the insparks app, but new exciting projects often appear! Suggestions and ideas come partly from other association committees but are also very welcome to come from you as a developer. A perfect opportunity to work with real development and a good merit for the future.
