Kick-off 2026
WELCOME TO THE AUTUMN 2026 KICK-OFF!
Are you a new student and have been accepted to Systems Science in Uppsala? Then you have come to the right place! Here you can register for the autumn kick-off, you should also have received an email with a welcome letter with more information and links to various groups and pages you should join, double check your spam and otherwise contact the association via email.
What is Insparken?
Kick-off is the best period for you as a recce to be introduced to Uppsala's fantastic student life and make lifelong friendships! Here you will be well taken care of by your godparents, captains and generals from the year above you who will keep you busy with fun events and antics – you will not have a dull second!
When is the Kick-off?
The kick-off takes place during the first four weeks of the study and starts on Monday, August 31. You don't have to worry about falling behind in the study - the activities will always be in the afternoons/evenings and everyone is part of this community.
Why should I join Insparken?
Because it is an incredibly fun experience that only happens during your first weeks at university! For many, it is the highlight and a nice memory during their entire study period. It is a great way to get to know your new coursemates, experience Uppsala and get an insight into the association's work for you students. We sponsors are super excited to hang out with you and come up with lots of fun and mischief!
HOW do I join?! (this is the same checklist that is in the welcome letter so if you have already done it you can ignore this)
Step 1: Download the Orbi app
Download the app Orbi and create an account. It is in this app that you register for the kick-off and buy tickets to all the association's future events!
Step 2: Apply for Orbi membership
Once you have created your account in Orbi, click HERE to apply for membership in Uppsala Systemvetare, on Orbi. Click on ”Buy” (it is completely free) we will approve your application as quickly as we can.
Step 3: Choose your starter package (Inspark or Member)
Here you choose a of the following two options depending on whether you will be attending the kick-off or not:
- Option A (I SHOULD be there for the kick-off): Buy your ticket HERE. This includes both the registration fee for the kick-off (225 SEK) and the membership fee to the association (150 SEK).
- Option B (I will NOT be at the kick-off): Click HERE to only pay the membership fee (150 SEK) to the association.
Step 4: Register in eBas
After you have paid the association fee via one of the links in Step 3, you must officially register in our membership system. Create your user account in eBas HERE. You are now a member of Uppsala Systemvetare!
Step 5: Join our channels!
- For your class: Join the Facebook group for your new class HERE. Here we send out daily, important updates. You will also be able to use this group to communicate with your new course participants and receive information from the association.
- For the kick-off: Follow the inskick's Instagram HERE! Here you will find the schedule, points hunt and lots of other fun things.
- For the courses: Read more about your courses and what course literature you need HERE.
