GitHub Workshop

A warm welcome to the GitHub workshop organized by the IT and Education Committee in collaboration with Pandelis Zembashis from GitHub who will be holding the workshop!

GitHub is a version control program that simplifies collaboration within code projects, which makes it enormously easier for us system scientists! GitHub is also used in virtually all companies that deal with development.

The workshop will consist of an introduction to Git and GitHub as well as an interactive part where you try out using GitHub yourself. You should therefore bring your own computer or make sure you can sit with someone who has a computer. The idea of the workshop is to get a basic understanding of the flow within GitHub and be comfortable using basic functions.

In order for the workshop to start quickly and smoothly, you should have installed git on your computer and created an account on github.com.
