Alumni evening with IM alumni 2018

Welcome to Alumni Night with IM alumni where we will be visited by Fanny Härgestam and Anders O. Larsson! They will each give a lecture on the theme Facts and Myths – A journalist and a professor tell the story.
The evening is arranged by the Alumni Association at the Department of Informatics and Media together with Uppsala Systemvetare, MKIT Student Association and Uppsala Mediavetare.

Presentation of lecturers:

Fanny Härgestam – The book about Hans Rosling and what made me write it
Fanny Härgestam is educated in journalism, political science and languages at Uppsala University, Stockholm University and the Universidad de Buenos Aires. She works as a journalist with a focus on France and North Africa. Fanny is co-author of Hans Rosling's memoirs “How I learned to understand the world”.

Anders O. Larsson – What really happened on social media during the 2018 election?
Anders Olof Larsson holds a PhD in Information Systems from Uppsala University in 2012. He is currently a professor of media and communication science at the Westerdal Institute for Communication and Design at Kristiania University College, Oslo, Norway.

First, a sandwich and a drink (light beer/mineral water) will be served, after which we will go into Lecture Hall 2 and listen to the lecturers. Registration is via the button next to this!
