It is now time for Uppsala Systemvetare's recruitment period! Do you want to enhance your time studying in Uppsala, meet new people, gain valuable experience on your CV and have fun together with the rest of everyone active in the association? Then you should get involved in Uppsala Systemvetare as an active member! Below is a list of the positions that the association's committee is currently advertising. Recruitment is ongoing. Sports Committee
Sports manager
Number: 2 pcs
Description: As inAs sports manager, you, together with the other sports managers, will plan and hold various sports-related activities for the association's members at regular intervals.
The tasks will include:
• Book any facilities
• Execute activities
• Promote and plan events via social platforms in collaboration with other committees
• Continuously express students' wishes that are of a sporting nature

Business and Industry Committee
Company contact
Number: 1 pc
Description: As a corporate contact, you are responsible for contacting and recruiting new exciting companies that might want to collaborate with Uppsala Systemvetare. You will have the chance to make your own contacts while pitching various types of collaboration with the association.
Active period: Autumn 23 – Autumn 24
Previous knowledge: It is advantageous to have previous experience of having worked in contact with companies in the past, for example, in the form of email contact or telephone calls, or to have similar experience from other contexts. However, experience is not a requirement. The most important thing is a great commitment and a clear drive to create successful collaborations with companies!
Lunch Lecture Manager
Number: 2 pcs
Description: The role involves holding the lunch lectures that the committee arranges together with various companies. The association has an average of one to two lunch lectures per month. The lunch lecture manager is responsible for welcoming everyone and giving a quick introduction to the lecturer. Before each lecture, a room also needs to be booked and lunch ordered from Humlan. Whoever has this role gets a unique opportunity for personal contact with the companies that are lecturing. He or she will be responsible for receiving the company representatives and being the association's face to them.

Previous knowledge: This role requires no previous experience and has clear and simple recurring routines.
PR Committee
Photographer
Number: 1 pcs
Description: The role means that you, as a representative of the Uppsala Systemvetares förening, photograph events during the semester. Those applying for this role are expected to have their own camera and an interest in photography. In addition to photographing, the tasks consist of processing and sorting through images. The role is suitable for those who have not been involved before.
Active period: HT23 – HT24
Merchandise Manager
Number: 1 pc
Description: As Merchandise Manager, you handle all communication between the association and its suppliers of merchandise, such as T-shirts, cloth bags, backpacks, etc. In addition, you handle tasks related to purchases, such as collecting information necessary for orders and contacting the association's Graphic Designer. No previous experience is required for this role. The role is good for those who have not been involved before. Note that this role is not involved in the design and layout of the merchandise.

Graphic artist
Number: 2 pcs
Description: To get you a little warm in your clothes, you start your time as a graphic designer with a basic training in Photoshop, the association's graphic profile and design principles. The association provides licenses in Photoshop and Illustrator for you to use during your time as a graphic designer. All graphic orders for the committee are divided between the graphic designers and those responsible for the PR Committee. However, there is always the opportunity to take your own initiative and more responsibility. Creating content for Uppsala Systemvetare is something that becomes easier if there are several of you and you can help each other with ideas, problem solving and feedback. In addition to each other, the Chairman and Vice Chairman of the committee are always there for support and guidance. Becoming a graphic designer is both an opportunity for you to get to know more system scientists, but also to develop and learn useful experience for the rest of your life.

Education Committee
Study hall helper
Number: 3 pcs
Description: This role involves helping out during study breaks. You will be available on site just before the study session to help with preparations, be present during the study session to help with any questions the students have and help clear away the coffee after the study session. Don't worry, we don't expect you to be able to answer everything in all courses! We hold 4 study sessions per semester so this is in other words a role that doesn't require much of your time outside of that, so if you want to be active in the association but feel that the time is not quite enough, this is the role for you!

Event Committee
Club worker
Number: 1 pc
Description: As an active member of the club administration, you will help with all upcoming events of the US event committee. As a general club worker, you will work together with the responsible people and their areas within the club administration. You will be a larger group, which means that many people will be helped. A good way to get involved and learn how to work within the event committee. Duties: Planning events, everything from booking venues, food, entertainment, to administrative tasks such as creating a budget for the event.

Pub tour manager

Description: You are responsible for ensuring that there is one pub crawl per semester. Tasks: Book the day, nations, and make a plan and plan for a pub crawl.

Previous knowledge: No prior knowledge is required. This is suitable for those who want to try their hand at holding and planning events.
IT Committee
Developer
Number: 5 pcs
Description: As a developer, you are part of the association's developer group that works to create, maintain and build on the association's IT system. We are continuously working on things like the website and the insparks app, but new exciting projects often emerge! Suggestions and ideas come partly from other association committees but are also very welcome to come from you as a developer. A perfect opportunity to work with real development and a good qualification for the future. Every week we have a sprint with the developers where we work together on one or more projects. In addition to this, you can of course work from home as much as you want. Right now we are going to start a project in React, so if you have any experience with React, JavaScript, HTML or CSS, it is seen as very positive. But, the most important thing is that you are interested in development and want to learn more. Before you start as a developer, you will receive an introduction to how we work within the committee, mainly Git and GitHub. If it is the case that you need help with the programming languages and tools that we use, we can run an introduction to that as well.
Examples of languages and tools: PHP, C#, JavaScript, CSS, HTML, Xamarin, WordPress, React, Firebase, GitHub
Previous knowledge: Enjoy development and have a desire to learn new things. If you have any experience with any of our languages and tools, that's a bonus.
Suitable for you as: Want to learn more about web development in particular, put your knowledge to the test, work on development projects in a group.
