Company evening 2020

Welcome to Uppsala Systemvetares' company evening 2020!

The company evening is an evening where you as a systems science student are the center of attention. Together with five companies, you will sharpen your skills by running a case solution. Each company will have a unique case that revolves around their business.

The evening starts with a buffet in Humlan, then the companies will introduce themselves and which case they will run. After this, you get to choose the case that interests you most and run it in a small group together with the companies. After that, you are offered coffee in the locomotive sheds and get the chance to mingle with all the other companies.

The companies attending the 2020 company evening are:

Deloitte:

Deloitte is a multinational auditing and consulting network that, together with competitors KPMG, PwC and EY, forms the so-called “the big four”. 

Deloitte offers services in auditing, consulting, financial advisory, risk management, tax advisory in a variety of industries.. The Financial Advisory area offers qualified advice in connection with corporate acquisitions, transactions, reconstructions and valuations. Risk Advisory works to determine acceptable risk levels, verify that various directives are followed and understand and manage the causes of strategic, operational and financial risks. The Consulting area works and supports senior executives with strategy, technology and program management of complex change projects.

Knowit:

Knowit is a consulting company that offers digital and cross-border solutions from three business areas; Experience, Insight and Solutions. 

By combining strategic capabilities with a passion for technology and creative solutions for digitalization and innovation, Knowit creates long-term value for its customers. They contribute expertise to an increased understanding of how digitalization can contribute to a circular economy and an improved society.

Visma:

Visma is an IT group that provides software and services that simplify and digitize business processes in the private and public sectors. Among other things, they deliver outsourcing services, purchasing solutions, payment services, store data solutions, and IT-related development and consulting activities.

Visma's vision is to be a leader in the automation of business processes and Their customers use their software, services and knowledge for business process automation and management.

SAS Institute:

SAS Institute is a software company that focuses on business systems. They work with statistics and focus on collecting, analyzing and visualizing data for their customers. They offer customized solutions for different industries, as their customers range from hockey teams to banks. The aim is for companies and organizations to gain greater knowledge about their user data and be able to develop based on this information.

Sogeti/Capgemini:

Both Sogeti and Capgemini are part of the Capgemini Group and are world-leading providers of innovative digital transformation with a broad portfolio of consulting and technology services. Together with clients operating in both the private and public sectors, both companies have helped build the services and infrastructure that make Sweden, the Nordic countries, Europe and the world spin. Sogeti works primarily with user-oriented products, services and tools.

Capgemini, in turn, has a greater focus on building fast-moving and modular systems as the basis for the core of many businesses. In a world of constant development and a demand for flexibility, however, we see how the two companies' offerings both expand and overlap. Sogeti is organized into smaller teams and has offices in 20 locations in Sweden. Capgemini instead focuses its operations in Sweden on six larger locations in order to be able to process Sweden's largest and most technology-intensive companies.

Schedule for the evening:

5:00 PM – 6:00 PM Buffet in Humlan.
18:00 – 19:00 Gathering in the auditorium, welcome, Company/Case presentation 10 min per participating company.
19:15 – 21:00 Case with the companies in a smaller group.
21:00– 21:30 Mingle with all the companies in Lokstallarna.
