Something about our four speakers
Anneli Edman is an excellent teacher and educational director of studies in the subject of information systems at the Department of Informatics and Media. She has worked at Uppsala University since 1979. She is now a member of IM Alumn and an honorary member of Uppsala System Scientists.
Anders Johanson taught when the subject of ADB was completely new at Uppsala University. He had studied at the Royal Institute of Technology and Stockholm University before and had Börje Langefors, a legend in our subject, as a professor. After Uppsala University, Anders worked at the Defence Rationalisation Institute, the Swedish Association of Local Authorities, Kommundata, the Swedish Tax Agency, the Swedish State Treasury and PTS. The last 20 years before retirement, his work was as an IT director in government service.
Meri Fischerström studied at Uppsala University during the time when the subject was called computer and systems science. She received a master's degree in the subject. She then worked at Capgemini for ten years and is now a business area manager at Försäkringskassan. She was considered one of Sweden's future female leaders by Ledarna 2014.
Mathilda Piirainen studied the Bachelor of Science in Systems Science with a major in Information Systems and a minor in Business Administration. She worked as a teaching assistant at the department for some time during this time. She graduated in 2017. Her title is now Technical Specialist at Microsoft.
